It was certainly a weekend to remember for the boys and girls of Clonard and Killyon, with an unprecedented three titles in three days last weekend.
First up on Friday night were the girls in the U14 Camogie final who defeated Kiltale on a scoreline of 5-2 to 1-1. A brilliant victory for all the Clonard and Killyon girls.
On Saturday it was the turn of St. Finian's National School Clonard who turned in a stellar performance to beat Mulhussey N.S. on a final score of 10-9 to 4-1. The surrounds of Pairc Tailteann seemed to inspire the team. It was an historic win as they brought home the first ever Cumann Na mBunscoil title to Clonard.
Finally, on Sunday the U14 football girls of Clonard defeated Dunsany in Dunshaughlin, 4-12 to 1-4, in the Division 5 Shield final. Another convincing victory and great team performance.
The future is certainly bright and this was great reward for all the good work happening at underage level in the area. Well done to all involved.
