It’s a big year for Clonard GAA, and especially for our Under 14 boys as the club will compete and host in Féile 2018 on the weekend of Friday 29th June to Sunday 1st July.
The Under 14 Féile tournament is one of the major highlights in the GAA calendar and this years event will be held jointly by Meath, Louth and Down. No less than 288 teams will take part across the three counties over the weekend.
In Tuesday nights draw Clonard have been drawn in Group C of Division 11 and will play group games against our neighbours Longwood, Brittany from France, and a club from Tyrone. The Tyrone club will be determined once their local Féile competition has been completed.
The Division also includes Chicago from America which could provide novel opposition in Clonard’s shield or cup quarter final.
Families in Clonard will host the Tyrone club and will welcome their many visiting players, families and supporters. It promises to be a wonderful festival weekend and another great boost for our small club and community.
